I had a lovely time at AggieCon 43 last weekend. As usual, I enjoyed seeing several familiar faces and meeting many new acquaintances. Five members of the Eccentric Authors Guild writing group were out in force and two of us even managed to hatch a dastardly scheme of publishing an EAG anthology to benefit charity. We’ll see if Lauren and my lofty dreams actually meet reality.
During the con, I had several nice chats with my great encourager Todd McCaffrey (http://pernhome.com/), the kind Martha Wells (http://www.marthawells.com/), and the humorous Martin Whitmore (http://martinwhitmore.com/). I was finally able to buy one of Kerry M. Tolan’s books (http://www.kmtolan.com/). Yeah! New acquaintances included the gracious Jody Lynn Nye (http://www.sff.net/people/jodynye/) and the smart Seanan McGuire (http://www.seananmcguire.com/) among others. Please visit http://cephvar.tamu.edu/aggiecon for more information about the annual event.
I am pleased to report my photography and artwork showed well during the AggieCon Art Show. My trip to College Station, Texas, also yielded some stunning photographic souvenirs of various blooming wildflowers. You can see them in the “Growing Green” and “Scapes” galleries on my photography website.
In other announcements, I have sent the e-book First Fruits off for editing. At this time, I have no official publication date for the photography devotional, but I will post an announcement as soon as I do. In the meantime, I have resubmitted Skinshifter for representation and continue to write Dreamdrifter.
Until we meet again, may your ink blots be liberal and your tea stains tiny.
