I have some unfortunate news to report. As of two Thursdays ago, I am jobless. My newspaper is losing several of its subscriptions and could no longer afford to keep me on staff, so I am in the process of looking for a new place of employment. If anyone knows of a company needing my skills as a writer, graphic designer, photographer, etc., please tell me. My skills are listed in more detail below and you can find samples of my work at http://alyciachristine.deviantart.com.

Much of my credited writing is listed under my maiden name, so those interested in my non-fiction work should contact me directly for these references and a full resume. You may reach me through my author’s E-mail: alyciaccooke@gmail.com.

I am a detail-oriented professional with four years’ combined experience in writing, editing, graphic design, and photography.

My education and customer service experience has honed me into a creative and effective communicator.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in 2005 from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University with an emphasis in science and journalism.

To date, I have written over 2000 attributed and ghostwritten nonfiction articles appearing in 11 different print and online publications.

My software knowledge includes: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier, GoLive (Dreamweaver’s predecessor); Microsoft Frontpage, Excel, Word, Powerpoint; Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP; Mac OS X operating systems.

My award-winning film and digital photography is shot using Canon, Nikon, and Pentax SLR camera systems.

Thanks,
Alycia

  1. Sorry to hear that, Alycia. No leads, but if I hear of anything I’ll let you know. Best of luck!
